Current information on fishing at Lünersee

In spring 2025, Lake Lünen will be lowered as planned. The reason: there are important technical systems under the water surface that need to be regularly checked and maintained - for example the bottom outlet, intermediate outlet and inlet structures. This measure ensures long-term safety and reliability.

The lowering is carried out in a controlled manner via the power plant facilities and takes around three weeks - including refilling. During this time, you have the rare opportunity to take a look at the otherwise hidden underwater world of this natural Alpine jewel.

Due to the necessary measures, fishing on Lake Lünersee is expected to be possible again from mid-July.
